  • 7/29/2005: Construction permit granted to change community of license from Flint to Farmington Hills; nighttime operations will move to northern Monroe county where the previously granted construction permit for new daytime facilities has been under construction. Night power will change from 1,000 watts with 3 towers to 19,000 watts with 8 towers.

  • 2004: Application filed to change city of license to Farmington Hills from Flint and move nighttime operations to the same site as the construction permit for the new 50,000 watt daytime signal. Nighttime operations would be at 19,000 watts if the major change is approved by the FCC.
  • 6/2004: WFRO AM 900 Fremont is taken silent and the license turned in to the FCC by ABC/Disney. WFRO was purchased and taken off the air specifically to make room for the move-in of WFDF to the Detroit market.
  • 12/2003: Construction permit granted for new daytime facilities in Monroe County. CP states 50,000 watts from a highly directional (towards the north) 8 tower array. The proposed site is in Ash Township, which to date has not approved a zoning variance to allow the towers to be built.
  • 2/11/2003: Application filed with FCC to boost daytime power to 50,000 watts from facilities that would be located in northern Monroe county.
  • 8/15/2002: Format switch from News-Talk to Radio Disney (children's)
  • 6/24/2002: FCC approves sale of station from Cumulus to ABC
