Longtime Kalamazoo radio personality Richard Piet will return to West Michigan airwaves on Monday as the morning show host on Battle Creek's WBCK-FM (95.3). Piet worked for 14 years in news and talk radio, including an award-winning stint as the morning news anchor for WKZO-AM (590) where his show won for Best in Category in 2008, 2009 and 2010 from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

Former Christian radio host John Balyo admitted Tuesday, July 29, that he photographed sex acts with a 12-year-old boy at a Kalamazoo County hotel.

(formerly the Washington Post Co.), owns five TV stations -- each in a top-50 market -- reaching 6.2% of U.S. television households: WDIV Detroit and KPRC Houston (NBC); KSAT San Antonio, Texas (ABC); WKMG Orlando, Fla. (CBS); and WJXT Jacksonville, Fla. (independent).

WZZM-TV 13, following a national search, has a new morning anchor to join Lauren Stanton and meteorologist Aaron Ofseyer on the air weekday mornings. The ABC-TV affiliate didn't have far to look.
