ABC Radio Detroit and Salvation Army partner to aid Hurricane Katrina Victims
ABC's Detroit cluster, which includes News/Talk 760 WJR, Radio Disney 910AM, 96.3 WDVD and 93.1 Doug-FM (WDRQ), have partnered with the Salvation Army to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina. The joint on-air campaign kicked off this morning on all three stations located in the Golden Tower of the Fisher Building (WJR, WDVD, WDRQ) with the common goal to bring aid to those affected by this tragedy.
“On behalf of ABC Radio Detroit, we are asking our listeners to consider supporting this cause and donating to help those left in desperate need by Hurricane Katrina,” said Mike Fezzey, President & General Manager, News/Talk 760 WJR and Radio Disney 910AM. “With 100% of donations going directly to the victims, we salute the Salvation Army efforts and take pride in partnering with this outstanding organization.” adds President & General Manager, 93.1 Doug FM and 96.3 WDVD, Steve Kosbau.
