The first televised debate between Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and challenger Freman Hendrix will air live on WDIV-TV on Monday, October 17th at 8:00 PM. The hour-long Decision 2005: Mayoral Debate will be hosted by Wayne State University in conjunction with Local 4 and Clear Channel Radio WMXD 92.3 FM.
Decision 2005: Mayoral Debate will be moderated by Local 4 News anchor and Flashpoint host Devin Scillian. Local 4 News anchor Carmen Harlan and Dean Frank Wu of Wayne State University’s Law School will act as panelists firing the questions to the candidates. The candidates will also be asked to answer select questions submitted by community members. The audience for the debate will consist of invited guests and members of the community with advanced reservations to attend.
