CKWW set to debut Sunday morning Oldies program

CKWW AM 580, Motor City Favorites, has announced a new show coming to its weekend line-up. “The Sunday Morning Oldies Show” is set to premiere this Sunday, April 9th at 10 AM. The two hour locally produced program will feature great oldies from the 50's and 60's, with some early 70's mixed in as well. It will be hosted by AM 580's Charlie O'Brien. Weekly features will include a Top 3 countdown from this week in history – highlighting past music charts from CKLW, Keener 13 and WXYZ - along with listener requests and stories behind the hits.

Charlie O'Brien brings a wealth of musical knowledge from the Motor City's music scene as a former “CKLW-Big 8” jock. He also hosts the AM 580 Morning Show heard weekdays. The Sunday Morning Oldies Show will air every Sunday from 10 AM to 12 Noon following Elvis Only! at 9 AM.

The Appliance Doctor's wife once asked him to drill a few little holes alongside a window so she could hang a curtain rod. "When I was through," Joe Gagnon says, "I could have stuck my head in there. I had to hire a handyman to patch it up and repaint it." Along the same line, "I'm great at screwing up plumbing," he says. "If I touch a faucet, it starts leaking." So what the heck is he doing hosting a radio show called "Ask the Handyman"? Gagnon, 64, has been asking himself that question a lot lately -- and as of Monday, he's not hosting it anymore... Appliance Doctor gets a new practice on Ann Arbor radio (Wed 4/5)
