Detroit News:

The Downtown Hoedown, a springtime fixture in Detroit's Hart Plaza for 23 years, will go on this year (May 19-21) with new promoters, Wasserman Media Group of Los Angeles and Arts Beats & Eats promoter Jon Witz, although its future was less than secure only a few months ago. Michael Watts, who promoted the Hoedown for the last nine years and worked with the festival for 22 of its 24 years, said Thursday that his verbal contract with the Detroit Recreation Department to produce this year's festival was canceled. He said he was "forced out" of the event by the hosting radio station, WYCD-FM (99.5)... Promoter hitch won't derail popular Hoedown (Sat 4/15)

Detroit Free Press:

Debuting: "Eye on Style," at 7 tonight on CBS Detroit (WWJ-TV, Channel 62). Hosted by Dana Kushkin, the monthly show will look at metro Detroit's retail, lifestyle and beauty scenes... Names and Faces (Sat 4/15)
