Detroit News:

Katie Couric's decision to leave NBC's "Today" for the meatier, primetime solo anchor gig at CBS has created a lot of opportunities, and not just for her replacement Meredith Vieira. This is also a time, broadcast experts say, that ABC's No. 2 sunrise show "Good Morning America" could steal the top spot in the ratings. Meanwhile, scuttlebutt is surrounding Vieira's old digs, ABC's "The View," where producers are rumored to be seriously talking to actress Patricia Heaton ("Everybody Loves Raymond") as a possible Vieira replacement... Tomorrow may be brighter for ABC (Sat 4/8)

WJR programming notes:

On Monday, April 10th from 9-11:30 AM the Frank Beckmann Show will broadcast live from Coaches Corner located in Harmonie Park for the Detroit Tigers Opening Day 2006. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, April 12-13 from 6-9AM the Paul W. Smith Show will broadcast live from the 2006 New York International Auto Show.
