Detroit News:

Russ Parr, whose syndicated morning show was dropped by Radio One's WHTD-FM (102.7), aka Hot 102.7, last July, is returning to the station's 6-10 a.m. slot as of this Thursday. "Due to popular demand, he'll be starting on Thursday morning," said vice president and general manager Carol Lawrence-Dobrusin. "We're thrilled to have him back. He was a staple on our station for five years, and he was missed and we're confident that the Russ Parr morning show will be great for Hot 102.7"... Popular demand brings Russ Parr back to airwaves (Tue 4/11)

Detroit Free Press:

The spring fund-raiser for the University of Michigan's public radio stations raised more than $766,000 -- 14% ahead of last year's total -- despite felony embezzlement charges pending against three former employees and a shaky economy. Listeners contributed the lion's share, more than $563,000, during the two-week drive that ended Friday, station manager Jon Hoban said Monday. "The charges do not appear to have hurt us," Hoban said. "We got notes from people with their checks telling us not to worry, they continued to support us"...
