The Children's Miracle Network Radiothon to support Hurley Medical Center raised $80,102. The hospital partnered with WIOG 102.5 for the four-day event at Genesee Valley shopping center that ended Sunday. Listeners called in pledges or dropped by the mall after hearing stories about children from across 15 counties who've been helped by Hurley... Radiothon brings in more than $80,000 (Wed 5/3)

Local TV did to the Detroit Pistons Monday what the Milwaukee Bucks couldn't - shut them down. The Pistons won the game, but local fans lost out. The fourth game in the Round 1 best-of-seven series with the Bucks was pre-empted Monday night... Pistons' TV coverage a little fuzzy (Wed 5/3)

Three Flint School District students were honored by the Flint Board of Education on Wednesday as winners of the seventh annual radio station WFBE (95.1)/Flint School District communications scholarships. Students winning this year's competition were seniors Philip Powell of Northern High School, Natasha LaGrone of Central High School and Tamita Shelton of Northern High School. Each student gets $1,000 to study communications in college... Students win scholarships from radio station (Fri 5/5)

Sitting in a medium blue button-up, silver-haired Paul W. Smith, host of a popular Detroit morning radio show, leafs through some papers and flips a switch. ''Today we're in Bay City, Michigan,'' he says before transitioning into a commercial for Absopure bottled water. It won't the be the last reference made to our city by the bay. Smith was in town with his Paul W. Smith Morning Show that broadcasts on WJR 760 out of Detroit from 5:30-9 a.m. weekdays...
