Returning: To Metro Traffic's reports on WWJ-AM (950) this Sunday, veteran voice Terry T. Brown with live remotes from Eastern Market as part of the Flower Day festivities ... Performing: Flutist and WVMV-FM (98.7) morning host Alexander Zonjic, in a concert featuring classical music in the first half and smooth jazz in the second half at 8 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church Cranbrook, 470 Church, at Cranbrook and Lone Pine roads in Bloomfield Hills... Detroit News:

It has been seven months since 50,000-watt WJR dropped its significant radio bomb, announcing it was cutting Michigan football and basketball in order to carry Michigan State football and basketball for the next five years. Officials at Michigan, whose football games had been on WJR since 1976, were shocked by the announcement, claiming they had been dealing in good faith with the management at Detroit's mega-station. Now it appears Michigan's radio deals are falling into place and could be announced sometime this week... U-M scattered on the radio (Tue 5/16)

The HD Digital Radio Alliance announced this morning that Los Angeles electronics retailer Ken Crane; Detroit retailer Mickey Shorr; as well as Harvey and Electronics Expo in the Tri-State Area ... All the new campaigns will be similar to those launched by ABC Warehouse, and retailers Tweeters and Crutchfield.com in April, with custom-made commercials running on alliance radio stations... Local, Regional Retailers Debut HD Radio Campaigns, RadioShack Joins National Rollout Of HD Radio Receivers (Mon 5/15)
