Gospel duo Mary-Mary to perform live at Mother's Day brunch

WMXDClear Channel Adult Urban WMXD-FM 92.3 and Urban WJLB-FM 97.9 will once again pay tribute to Detroit's mothers with their annual brunch and a live performance at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 14th. Hosted by Mix 92.3's Frankie Darcell, FM98's Kris Kelley, and hip-hop balladeer Jaheim, it will be a day of celebrating Mothers and all they do throughout the year.

With the release of the self-titled “Mary Mary”, the Grammy-winning, platinum-selling gospel duo is beginning a new chapter in an already remarkable career. One listen to Mary Mary and you'll immediately see that Erica and Tina are spreading their wings musically, embracing new influences and stretching the boundaries, so there are plenty of surprises. This is a chance for mothers and their families to experience the powerful sound and lyrics of Mary Mary in person.

WJLBOur moms are in for a special treat with co-host Jaheim in attendance. Jaheim is a multi-talented artist, most famous for his R&B vocals. He has also rapped, modeled and acted, as has also appeared in Source and other hip-hop publications.

In celebration of the Mother's Day Brunch, realcheaphouse.com, Bretlin Home Mortgage, the Michigan Chronicle, and Michigan Front Page are presenting area moms with a chance to be mortgage free to an entire year! Mothers can simply log on to realcheaphouse.com or pick up a Michigan Chronicle or Michigan Front Page for an entry form, and describe in 200 words or less, why they or the mother in their life deserves to be mortgage free! The winner will be announced live on both MIX 92.3 & FM 98 WJLB as well as be invited to the brunch. The contest deadline is Wednesday, May 10th. Adding more excitement to the Mother's Day Brunch is Funjet Vacations who will be giving away a 3-day/4-night trip for two to Las Vegas at the event.

Tickets are $60 for adults and $30 for children under 12 for this very special Mother's Day Brunch and can be purchased on-line at www.mix923fm.com or www.fm98wjlb.com. Tickets can also be purchased in person with cash or money order at the WMXD and WJLB studios located in Suite 633 of the Penobscot Building at 645 Griswold Avenue in downtown Detroit.
