Detroit News:

Go get 'em, Tigers. Even with a signal that pales in comparison with the AM powerhouses that used to carry Detroit baseball, WXYT-AM (1270) got a big boost from the hot Bengal bats in the spring Arbitron ratings, which were released Wednesday. The Metro Detroit ratings cover the period from March 30-June 21. In the highly valued sports demographic of men 25-54, WXYT's night ratings, when the station carries the most games, showed the most bang... Tigers' roar heard on the radio (Thu 7/20)

Detroit Free Press:

They leapfrogged R&B station WMXD-FM, which had held the lead for the previous two quarters, and now sits at No. 3, just a tenth of a rating point behind the leaders. That skinny difference was characteristic of much of the top 10, with several other stations within sniffing distance of the top spot, including WRIF-FM, WJR-AM, WOMC-FM, WKQI-FM and WWJ-AM... Country urban radio staitons share top spot (Thu 7/20)

Radio & Records:

Top 5 radio stations listeners age 12+: Urban WJLB FM 97.9 and Country WYCD FM 99.5 (tie 1st), Adult Urban WMXD FM 92.3, Rock WRIF FM 101.1, and News/Talk WJR AM 760... Detroit Spring 2006 ratings (Wed 7/19)
