Reports this morning are that Citadel will add the syndicated version of XM Satellite Radio morning hosts Opie & Anthony to the morning slot at Active Rock WKLQ FM 107.3 Greenville/Grand Rapids and possibly at Classic Rock WILZ FM 104.5 Saginaw. The moves would give the pair their second and third outlets in Michigan- they appeared on CBS-owned Sports WXYT AM 1270 Detroit earlier this summer.
If the show is placed in morning drive, in Grand Rapids O&A would displace 'Justice in the Morning' and in Saginaw the duo would replace 'Bob and Tom'.
We purchased a high-definition television at our house a while back so our sports and news addictions could be maximized with a strong, clear, digital video signal. But why can't we get any programming in digital from WWMT-TV (Channel 3) -- the CBS affiliate in West Michigan? My brother in Southfield watches CBS sporting events all the time on HDTV. What is the problem here? I have called, written letters, e-mailed, had cable technicians out to our home -- to no avail. Until now ... Tim Kiesling is the new program director at "Star 105.7" WOOD-FM. "He's brilliant," said Skip Essick, station manager for Clear Channel. "Tim has worked for a cluster of Clear Channel stations as marketing director in San Antonio (Texas) and was a program director for WFMK-FM of Lansing."
"This is an enormous opportunity," Kiesling said. "I have the chance to work with Steve and Sabrina on a heritage morning show. They are humanly connected and care for their listeners and community"... Broadcast notes (Mon 7/17)
