Kent County Commissioner Paul Mayhue, who is up for re-election, filed a complaint with the county clerk Friday alleging the radio station where one of his rival candidates works is violating campaign finance law. Mayhue claims supporters of candidate Robert S. Womack and disc jockeys at WJNZ-AM 1140 have been directing listeners to fundraisers and locations to pick up yard signs, actions Mayhue alleges are illegal, in-kind corporate contributions from the station. He also claims political ads for Womack are running without proper disclaimers. "They've been on the radio campaigning for him every week," Mayhue said. "All you have to do is listen"... Mayhue miffed over radio ads (Sun 7/30)
