WJOM FM 88.5 Eagle, located just west of the Lansing metro, has been reported as on-air this week simulcasting the Christian Contemporary format of WLGH FM 88.1 Leroy Township/Lansing. The new signal greatly increases Smile FM's coverage west of Lansing.
Mary Turner admits that working in the radio business is a shaky way to make a living. The 94.1 WVIC "Morning Rush" co-host laughs about always having her bags packed to leave at a moment's notice, but she hopes Lansing listeners will give her and fellow co-host Brad Walker a fair shake in the flooded mid-Michigan morning show market. Turner and Walker can both be heard mornings from 5:30 to 10:30 a.m., Monday through Friday... WVIC morning duo carving niche in radio (Sun 8/27)
Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ's Morning Host Rich Michaels doesn't really care what you think of him. "I just try to be me," Michaels said from the studio, off Pine Tree Road in Lansing. For many who feel Michaels is too outspoken, he is unapologetic, and he said what you hear on the radio is honesty to its purest form. Michaels is hoping to light a fire, and hopefully, getting people to call in for a lively discussion. "I don't care if they disagree. If I'm wrong on a subject, hopefully, they will call in and enlighten me. People don't want to stake a claim in their own beliefs. Some have no idea or opinion on anything"... WMMQ's Rich Michaels keeps it light yet relevant (Sun 8/6)
