Detroit Free Press:

It was nice while it lasted. CBS-owned country station WYCD-FM's stay at the top of the Detroit radio ratings lasted but a month as Clear Channel-owned WDTW-FM (106.7), new to the country format, took a big chunk of 99.5's country listeners. In the Arbitrend report card released Tuesday, WYCD lost 0.7 of a ratings point (percentage of listeners) in May, June and July and dropped from first to seventh in rank from the April-June period. WDTW was up 0.8 and tied for 17th place; it switched to country May 26... WYCD slips from No. 1 to No. 7, splits country fans with WDTW (Wed 8/23)

Deminski and Doyle Celebrate 7 Years At Live 97.1 Free FM/Detroit
Congratulations to JEFF DEMINSKI and BILL DOYLE on their seventh anniversary in afternoon drive at CBS Talk WKRK (LIVE 97.1 FREE FM)/DETROIT. DEMINSKI and DOYLE arrived at WKRK in AUGUST 1999 after several years in the same slot at Talk WKXW (NEW JERSEY 101.5)/TRENTON. It is believed that only phone screener (and MINDCANDY lead singer) RUDY DESANTIS has been at WKRK longer than DEMINSKI and DOYLE. (Wed 8/23)
