Let's see -- Tuesday TV at 9 p.m. There's "The Unit," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Veronica Mars," and the new "The Knights of Prosperity" and "Help Me Help You." Not to mention oodles on cable. Then on public WTVS-TV (Channel 56) -- with radio simulcasts on WDET-FM (101.9) and WJR-AM (760) -- you can watch the first in a series of prime-time, one-hour telecasts on race relations in metro Detroit. "Bridging the Racial Divide" is coproduced by Kingsberry Productions and Detroit Public Television. It will be cohosted by Kingsberry chief Emery King -- former TV newsman and now publicist for the Detroit Medical Center -- and WJR-AM (760) morning man Paul W. Smith... Channel 56 to offer series on race (Mon 9/25)

Marianne Williamson, one of the Oprah Friends who will be chattering on the talk show hostess' new XM Radio channel, will broadcast her show from Detroit. The Oprah and Friends channel launches today on XM Radio Channel 156. Williamson tapes her show, which will include interviews and call-ins by listeners, at the OnStar/XM studio in the RenCen, but eventually, XM will build her a studio at her suburban Detroit home. Thus far, she hasn't touched on any Detroit-related themes, but she expects that will happen eventually. Her show will air Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m., as well as 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Wednesdays... Local author, ex-pastor to debut on XM's Oprah channel (Mon 9/25)

A former salesman for University of Michigan public radio and television stations who was convicted of conspiracy to embezzle has been sentenced to 18 months' probation. Jeremy Nordquist, 28, of Saline, was among three former employees of the stations who were accused of embezzling about $60,000 in items that had been donated in exchange for on-air mentions. Nordquist admitted during his trial that he got a pool table, Persian rugs and other items but said he was following the directions of his supervisors...
