Officials say Local DJ Dave Conrad is in fair condition after undergoing surgery for injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident Friday night. Conrad, from B-93, was involved in the accident while participating in the "Motorcycle Light Parade" - a fundraiser benefiting the prevention of child abuse and neglect in West Michigan. "I just left the hospital where I saw him this morning," said Doug Montgomery, operations manager at B-93. "He's talking and driving the nurses crazy, so we're cautiously optimistic"... Popular radio personality Dave Conrad has "a long road to recovery ahead of him" after he was seriously injured in a motorcycle ride for the station's Roofsit for Kids charity, the program director of B93 said Saturday. "He's in a lot of pain, but he asked me to be sure to thank his listeners for their continued prayers," said Doug Montgomery, the program director for the country music station, WBCT-FM (93.7), after he visited Conrad at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Known on the air as "Conrad," the radio announcer was injured Friday night when a motorcycle sidecar in which he was a passenger was struck by a vehicle at 28th Street SE and Broadmoor Avenue, according to Montgomery...
