The Oakland Press:

During the early 1990s, Dan Dickerson was a news reporter for WWJ-AM 950 in Detroit. Baseball, however, was at the forefront of his mind. He spent countless days and nights at Tiger Stadium, appearing with a cassette tape deck in his hand. He would go to the auxiliary press box, far away from the crowd and the rest of the media, and call play-by-play into a hand-held microphone. When he was not practicing his play-by-play, Dickerson would sit in the press box next to the Tigers beat writers, picking their minds about everything from player development systems to in-game strategy to the cat-and-mouse game between pitchers and hitters. He could not get enough of baseball... Tigers' radio voice Dickerson has roots in Oakland County (Fri 10/27)
