Starting Sunday October 22 at noon, Classical/Jazz WRCJ will begin broadcasting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's 2006-2007 season. Host Charles Greenwell, DSO Conducting Assistant, will interview DSO musicians at the midpoint of the program, giving you "backstage" insight from the musicians themselves. WRCJ will hold its second 2006 membership drive from October 12th through the 20th and the station is hoping to hear from as many contributors as possible to build upon the success that was achieved during their first drive. Every donation of $120 or more is eligible to receive the WRCJ Membercard Plus - good for discounts at hundreds of restaurants, bed and breakfast establishments, and stores throughout Michigan, the U.S. and Canada.
Classic Rock WCSX-FM 94.7 has announced its first ever "Gutter Ball Double's Bowling Shootout" to be held at Continental Lanes on Gratiot in Roseville on Saturday, October 21st and is looking for area bowlers to join in on the fun.
Each participant receives:
* Three Games of “9 Pin No Tap” Cosmic bowling
* Free bowling shoe rental
* Two pieces of pizza and pop
* A 32 oz. WCSX mug filled with goodies including three games of free open bowling at Continental Lanes
Cost is $45 per person and doubles can be male or female, any combo. Bowlers must be 21 years old to participate. One lucky team will score the grand prize, a seven day, all-inclusive vacation for two to Mexico or the Caribbean courtesy of Apple Vacations. There will also be 50/50 Raffles, Strike Ball, Basket Raffles and Silent Auctions.

Listeners of Soft Rock WMGC-FM 105.1 is inviting listeners to grab a candy bag, find a costume, put dancing shoes on and get ready to celebrate Halloween with the station's 3rd annual Halloween Dance Party. The only way in is to win as listeners cannot purchase tickets to this event which will take place on Friday, October 27th at the Sheraton Detroit Novi, located near Haggerty Road and 8 Mile. Doors open at 7:30pm and the party runs from 8pm until 11pm. Ticket giveaways are being featured several times each day on WMGC.
