Starting Saturday, December 2nd, Oldies CKWW AM 580, Motor City Favorites, plans on streaming its audio signal via the Internet where it will reach listeners from the Motor City and beyond. To listen, visit the station's website at www.am580radio.com.
According to AM 580 Program Director Charlie O'Brien, live web streaming is the number one most requested on-line feature. Now, people will be able to listen to us in those hard to reach places like office buildings, and snowbirds can even take the station along with them to their winter destinations.
CKWW has also launched the "AM 580 Online Store" where listeners can purchase great oldies music and a variety of classic DVD's. You can also enter contests and join the AM 580 Loyal Listener Club in one easy step.
Throughout the month of December, AM 580 will air holiday themed episodes of classic radio shows on "When Radio Was". From the comedy of Jack Benny, Charlie McCarthy and Bob Hope to the drama of "Miracle on 34th Street", the radio will be aglow with memories of Christmas past. AM 580 presents the "golden age of radio" weeknights at 11 PM on When Radio Was with host Chuck Schaden. The complete December schedule should be available on the station's web site soon.
