Now that everybody's nerves have settled down in the post-World Series lull, what impact did the Detroit Tigers' surprising Series run have on radio? Nearly 1 in 4 adults in Metro Detroit listened to the World Series on the radio. Arbitron surveyed adults in Detroit (and St. Louis) about how they watched and listened to the Series. Here are some other facts gleaned from the study done by Arbitron Custom. Among Metro Detroit adult radio listeners age 18 and older, 6 in 10 said they followed the World Series "very closely." That's 69 percent of men and 53 percent of women. Of those listening to the World Series on the radio in Detroit, 56 percent said they felt more favorably toward an advertiser who sponsors the Tigers, over one who does not...
