Farewell, Megan Mullally and Greg Behrendt. WDIV-TV (Local 4) on Wednesday chopped syndicated TV talkers Mullally (10 a.m. weekdays) and Behrendt (11 a.m.) effective Jan. 8. Those axings come amid other shifts that include a local 4 p.m. newscast -- the earliest evening news in the market -- adding tabloid-esque "Inside Edition" and "Extra" and moving Ellen DeGeneres to 10 a.m., away from the 4 p.m. behemoth "Oprah" on WXYZ-TV (Channel 7)... He's a rock star, he's a radio host, he's even a scratch golfer and Alice Cooper , whose "Nights with Alice Cooper" show runs weeknights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on WCSX-FM (94.7), has written "Alice Cooper, Golf Monster: My 12 Steps to Becoming a Golf Addict, " a "golf and recovery memoir" that will tell the story of how golf helped Cooper overcome a drinking problem. Concern for children like her own daughters prompted Laura Bonnell to help educate the public and raise funds for cystic fibrosis, a genetic, life-threatening disease that can make simple breathing a chore. Cystic fibrosis causes mucus to build up and clog some organs, particularly the lungs.
