WJRT TV

One of the oldest radio stations in the country is located here in Mid-Michigan. Tomorrow, the staff will celebrate the station's 80 years on the air. People have been listening to WMPC since it first began broadcasting from the basement of the Methodist Protestant Church in Lapeer. "They ran some test broadcasts in early December and we became licensed and went on the air December 6, 1926," explained General Manager Bob Baldwin... Radio station is itself a 'golden oldie' (Tue 12/5)
