Radio Format Changes: June 2006 Archives

* WLAW FM 92.5 Newaygo has added classic/southern rock and modern country songs to its classic country selections and taken on the name 'The Outlaw'. The station is owned by Citadel and is being programmed by WLAV Grand Rapids morning host Kevin Matthews.


* WVXM FM 97.7 Manistee (soon to be WMLQ) has officially transferred to Synergy Media which has replaced the Public Radio format with Classic Country.

 

* Coltrace Communications has closed on the purchase of WVXH FM 92.1 Harrison and changed the the station's format from Public Radio to Country as '92.1 The Twister'. New call sign WTWS is expected to replace WVXH.

 

* Modern Rock WLJZ FM 94.5 Mackinaw City has dropped its simulcast of WJZJ FM 95.5 Glen Arbor/Traverse City and is now programmed with Hot Adult Contemporary as Star 94.5. WLJZ, owned by Northern Star Broadcasting, receives much of its content from Waitt Radio Networks.
