Ken Kalczynski was a practical young man. His dad, a tool and die maker, was forever getting laid off, and who wanted any part of that? So Kalczynski decided he would be a mortician. Off he went to Wayne State, where one day he happened to walk past the studio of WAYN, the campus' closed-circuit radio station. Not another hour: WDIV-TV Local 4's daytime schedule will get another overhaul in the fall after a big one this week. NBC officials will expand "Today" by an hour until 11 a.m...
