JJ & Lynne host 16th Annual 28 Hour Radiothon Thursday & Friday

WCSXThis Thursday, January 25th starting at 6 a.m. until Friday, January 26th, at 10am, Classic Rock WCSX-FM 94.7 morning hosts Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison (JJ & Lynne) will take over the station's airwaves for the 16th Annual WCSX Radiothon. For 28 consecutive hours, JJ & Lynne will broadcast live from the center court at Oakland Mall in Troy to raise money and awareness for the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan (CLF).

Listeners will have a chance to bid on “once in a lifetime” packages during the on-air auction including:

* Lunch with JJ, Lynne and Detroit Red Wing Chris Chelios
* Join Karen Savelly for a one on one cooking class with Tribute Chef Don Yamauchi
* A VIP Coney Class with Ken Calvert at Leo’s Coney Island
* OverEasy backyard concert and broadcast with Arlen and Grievous Angel
* A Motor City Blue Project broadcast and“un-plugged Super Session” of blues
…and much more!

Back again by popular demand is the “Guitar Jam for CLF.” Local guitar players are invited to join in the fun simply by bringing a $5 donation, a guitar and small amp to Center Court in Oakland Mall Thursday, January 25th at 8pm for a rousing rendition of CREAM’s Classic Rock anthem “Sunshine of Your Love.” This musical fundraising event will be broadcast live on 'CSX. Each guitar player who participates will receive a limited edition Guitar Jam All Access lanyard.

CLF of Michigan is a statewide organization that provides information, financial assistance and support for adults and children affected by leukemia, lymphoma, and other related blood disorders. The WCSX Radiothon is one of the major sources of revenue for the foundation.

This long running fundraiser has to date raised over raised $2,800,000 for the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.
