FSNFox Sports Net Detroit has acquired the rights to produce and distribute all local telecasts of the Detroit Tigers during the 2007 Major League Baseball regular season, totaling 151 games, the most in club history. FSN is slated to carry 134 games, with the remainder delivered on WJBK-TV (FOX 2 in Detroit) and a regional network of over-the-air affiliates to be determined. FSN also is scheduled to televise four Tigers spring training games this March.

The regular season telecast schedule begins with both FSN and FOX 2 carrying the April 2 Opening Day festivities as the Tigers host the Toronto Blue Jays. The game is being simulcast so that all television viewers in metro Detroit can watch as the Tigers make their debut as defending American League champion. Both outlets plan extensive pre- and postgame Opening Day coverage.

FSN Detroit, entering its 10th season of Tigers coverage, will produce all games airing on FSN and FOX 2 with the Emmy-winning announcing team of play-by-play man Mario Impemba (sixth season) and analyst Rod Allen (fifth).

On three April dates when FSN Detroit already has a Red Wings or Pistons game scheduled, the Tigers will be televised on FSN PLUS, a new alternate channel to be made available to customers of most cable and satellite providers in the region...
