Ann Arbor: Newsmakers Feb 10, 2007

Since Martin Bandyke landed at Adult Alternative WQKL-FM 107.1 about a year ago, he has also been hosting live broadcasts for 107one at the downtown Ann Arbor Borders store. The free "Studio A2 on the Road" events have featured live performances by such major artists as the Barenaked Ladies, Indigo Girls, Amos Lee, Duncan Sheik, and many others.

On Tuesday, February 20th at 12:30pm, Studio A2 on the Road will feature two-time Grammy winner Rickie Lee Jones, best known for her 1979 self-titled debut, which included the smash hit "Chuck E's In Love." She's touring to support her new release "Sermon On Exposition Boulevard." Rickie Lee Jones does not tour that often these days, and rarely does in-store events like this one, making her appearance at Borders a very special event for Bandyke and WQKL.

The downtown Ann Arbor Borders store is located at 612 E. Liberty. The free performance will be broadcast live on 107one hosted by Martin Bandyke. A CD signing session will follow the performance.
