The Michigan Talk Network will present its second annual “State of The State At First Light” broadcast on February 7th, the morning after Governor Jennifer Granholm’s state of the state address. This is a live 4-hour remote broadcast from the Sparrow Professional Building with a wonderful panoramic view of Michigan’s capitol building and downtown Lansing. Governor Granholm will join the live statewide broadcast hosted by Michael Patrick Shiels. The show is heard on 10 Michigan radio stations.

The special broadcast will be performed in front of a live audience of political, community and business leaders. The Governor is scheduled to be interviewed live at 8:30am.

All morning long, Michael Patrick Shiels will break down the Governor’s speech and what it means to Michiganders. He will do that with the help of Senate and House Leaders along with a special debate between GOP Party Chair Saul Anuzis and Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer in the 9:00am hour.

The Michigan Talk Network’s “Big Show…with Michael Patrick Shiels” is heard weekdays from 6-10 a.m. The full-service news and information show is headquartered at WJIM AM in Lansing and heard on radio stations across Michigan. Governor Granholm is a frequent guest on “The Big Show,” as are other elected officials, newsmakers, business leaders, celebrities, entertainers and sports figures. The show also streams live on MLive.com.
