Detroit radio flashback- Time to jump in the radio Wayback Machine! XM Satellite Radio is back paying tribute to Detroit radio from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday with XM's "Sonic Sound Salute" to the old WKNR-AM, which broadcast at 1310. Host Terry (Motormouth) Young will use old Keener 13 DJ voice-checks, chatter from the local station of the '60s including local news, commercials, high school news and, of course, the music from the day... Names and Faces (Sun, 2/18)


On Feb. 25 at noon at the Townsend Hotel, the Board of Governors of the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences -- the local Emmy people -- will induct the seven newest members of its Silver Circle. It honors those spending at least 25 years in broadcasting or media production... Emmy academy honors seven for longevity (Sun, 2/18)
