Talkers magazine has released its annual list of the Heavy Hundred -- its highly subjective annual view of the top 100 talk radio hosts in the United States, plus a list of 150 others it deems notable. Some highlights: WJR-AM (760) daily syndicated personalities Rush Limbaugh (1), Sean Hannity (2), Dr. Laura Schlessinger (4) and Mark Levin (20) were all in the top 20. Also listed were three WJR local show hosts: Free Press columnist Mitch Albom (59), Paul W. Smith and Glenn Haege. (Smith and Haege were listed in the alphabetical/by category section for those from 101-250). Other locals listed in the top 250 were WKRK-FM's (97.1) afternoon drive team of Deminski & Doyle and, in a most curious pick, the recently united team of Doug Karsch and Scott Anderson at WXYT-AM (1270)... Rush and Hannity are tops in talk (Wed, 2/21)
