Effective Monday, ESPN Radio returns to Ann Arbor sports radio station WTKA 1050 and will include the Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick shows. The station currently is affiliated with FOX Sports. Cowherd will occupy the 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. slot weekdays, followed by Patrick from 1 to 4 p.m. Syndicated ESPN show "The Sports Bash with Erik Kuselias " will fill the weekday 4-6 p.m. slot.

"While the FOX Sports brand is a building young brand, ESPN is the most recognizable brand in sports broadcasting worldwide," WTKA program director Brian Cowan said in a statement. "We want only the very best sports brands on WTKA."

The station's new afternoon lineup won't affect specialty shows for Michigan and Eastern Michigan athletics. On Monday, WTKA also will re-launch its local morning show "The Locker Room, with Dave Shand, " weekdays from 6-10 a.m. Shand will be joined by former afternoon show host Josh Vernier... Mort Crim, former WDIV-TV (Channel 4) anchorman and for years one of the most recognizable faces in Detroit television, has told The Detroit News that he is undergoing chemotherapy for colon cancer. Crim, 71, underwent surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., on Oct. 31. Crim says he's six weeks into a chemotherapy regimen that will wind up in June...
