FCCTwo radio stations owned by Michigan colleges and one FM translator station have been served with Notices of Apparent Liability by the FCC for late license renewal applications, and in the case of two of the stations, unauthorized operations.

Hope College's WTHS FM 89.9 Holland was served with the NAL in the amount of $7,000 for the late application and unauthorized operation combo as was Wayne Kowalski's translator W251AD 98.1 Alpena. Lake Superior State's WLSO FM 90.1 Sault Ste Marie was served with notice of a $1,500 fine for its late renewal application.

All three stations have now been granted their renewals, despite the fines.
