Kim Carson has made radio her career. She has been on the air since she was 16 and can be heard on WLHT-FM (95.7) where, for the past three years, she has been holding down the midday shift (9 a.m.-2 p.m.). She also is an author, having penned "Essence of Life: A Compilation of Inspiration and Poem"... WLHT personality is a poet, too (Mon, 2/12)

Craig James, WOOD-TV (Channel 8) weather forecaster, has been awarded the prestigious Silver Circle Award from the National Academy of Arts and Sciences, given to distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to television for at least 25 years. James and his wife, Marcie, will attend the Feb. 25 awards presentation in Detroit. Ken Kolbe, assistant general manager at WGVU-TV (Channel 35), also was awarded a Silver Circle. Kolbe, who worked at WZZM-TV (Channel 13) for 15 years as a reporter, editor and news director, has been at WGVU since 1995... Weatherman, WGVU boss win awards (Mon, 2/12)
