Grand Rapids has a new No. 1 radio station: WOOD-AM. In the recent Arbitron, 12-plus ratings category, WOOD-AM (1300) has toppled sister station WBCT-FM (93.7). We are kind of like the Rodney Dangerfield of morning radio -- we get more respect now"... WOOD-AM 1300 takes lead in ratings (Sun, 2/11)

A locally produced television special hosted by Maranda of WOTV (Channel 41) and Eva Aguirre Cooper of WOOD (Channel 8) will examine teenage drinking. "Connect on the Rocks: The Epidemic of Teen Drinking" airs at 7 p.m. Thursday on WOTV and 6:30 p.m. Saturday on WOOD. TV special probes teen drinking (Sun, 2/11)
