X still marks the spot for over-the-air telecast coverage of an impressive lineup of sports properties, including Big Ten men's basketball. But not for much longer. WXSP-TV enters the home stretch of its three-year run as the broadcast home for Big Ten football and men's basketball games in the West Michigan television market. It all comes to an end March 10. The newly formed Big Ten Network has informed WXSP and other over-the-air stations around the state not to bother bidding for the league's telecast package. It will instead start to hoard most of those events for itself, beginning in the fall, when the conference launches its new digital channel on cable and satellite systems... WXSP losing its Big Ten deal (Fri, 2/9)
