For most of us, Ireland is a distant concept. Hints of it spring from movies and songs and - each St. Patrick's Day - everywhere else. To Michael Patrick Shiels, who will do his local radio show there Friday, Ireland is a key thread in his life. "I've probably been there 15 times," Shiels said. "I like to stay for a month or more, if I can." This time, he'll be quicker. On Friday, his WJIM-AM show will be from Doonbeg, in County Clare; on Monday, it will be back in Lansing...
