Hurley Medical Center, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital, raised $94,238 during its seventh annual Radiothon April 19-22. The contributions were considered a triumph considering Michigan's economic challenges, said Linda Tracy-Stephens, CMN's director. If sunshine and nice temperatures greet residents this weekend, Cindy Althoff won't mind taking the credit. The 25-year-old Minneapolis native debuts at 8 a.m. Saturday as a meteorologist for Channel 5, WNEM, after two years at a North Iowa television station. Althoff admits, however, that moving into a new environment and settling into her second weather job has divided her attention as far as monitoring mid-Michigan's climate patterns...
