Detroit News:

Local cable providers are jumping on the Tigers bandwagon. Some 95 percent of operators statewide, including the largest in Metro Detroit, picked up Wednesday night's Tigers vs. Orioles game, despite it being bumped from its familiar home on FSN Detroit. The game was carried on the newly created FSN Plus feed, which will pick up at least three more Tigers telecasts in the next week when games conflict with the Pistons or Red Wings. The feed is temporarily slotted into cable providers' basic lineup -- on Comcast Local or the Home Shopping Network, for example... FSN Plus pulls off juggling act to air baseball with Wings, Pistons in playoffs (Thu, 4/12)

Will America go crazy for a sharp-dressed man from Canada? We'll know soon, as CBC icon Don Cherry joins NBC's Stanley Cup Finals coverage. Details have yet to be ironed out, but Cherry and NBC analyst Brett Hull, a former Red Wing, will guest on each other's networks. It's a shame it's taken this long for the outspoken Cherry and his unique wardrobe to migrate across the border... Cherry joining NBC? Sweet! (Thu, 4/12)

Detroit Free Press:

Grapes and Hullie -- the new morning show on MSNBC? Nope, during the Stanley Cup finals Don Cherry and Brett Hull will appear together on both NBC and CBC. The exact details are TBA, but the two talked about the alliance with reporters during a Tuesday teleconference... Cherry, Hull to stir the pot (Thu, 4/12)
