Delta College Public Broadcasting recently received seven awards in national broadcasting competitions for its local productions in news magazines, documentaries and other specials. This is in addition to the two Michigan Association of Broadcasters Awards the station announced in March. Delta Broadcasting competed in the 28th annual Telly Awards, which honors excellence in local, regional and national video and film productions. The Q-TV production of ''A Conversation with Bob Dole & George McGovern'' won the Telly's highest achievement - a Silver Award for a Political/Commentary Television Program. Delta also received four bronze Telly Awards... Q-TV earns seven awards for broadcast excellence (Wed, 4/18)
Citadel PD Strickland Relocates To Lansing:
With new CITADEL Top 40 WHTS/GRAND RAPIDS PD JACK SPADE on the scene, Interim PD/APD/MD JOSH STRICKLAND can now turn his attention to sister Top 40 WJIM/LANSING, where he was named PD earlier this year, following the departure of DAN KELLEY. STRICKLAND no longer needs to divide his time between the two cities and can now settle full time into his new Capital City office, with a lovely view of the FRANDOR SHOPPING CENTER loading dock (Ed. note: I keed, I keed).
