Grand Haven Tribune:

Will Tieman is an unabashed Michigan State University sports fanatic. But his purchase of WGHN (92.1 FM and 1370 AM) doesn't necessarily mean Grand Haven's radio station will soon end its long affiliation with the University of Michigan sports broadcast network. "The contract is in place for one more year," Tieman said in a phone interview Wednesday. "After that, if the community wants its Michigan Wolverines football, we're not going to take it off. "And, no, it's not true we're going to an all green-and-white format," he joked... No MSU sports for WGHN — for now; radio station's new owner runs Spartan Sports Network (Thu, 5/3)

Grand Rapids Press:

Jack Doles has been watching Floyd Mayweather's preparations for his fight Saturday night against Oscar De La Hoya. "Floyd is a very complex character," said the WOOD-TV 8 sports director, who has followed the Grand Rapids native's boxing career since the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. "He's in a spotlight so much bigger than he's ever been in before. Floyd likes the attention and he's doing his part to make this fight as big as it can be"... WOOD-TV sends pair to cover fight (Fri, 5/4)
