Live coverage of the annual spectacular event presented by The Parade Company begins at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27. In addition, the Local 4 telecast of The Target Fireworks will once again be offered as live streaming video to viewers all around the world on the station’s website, ClickOnDetroit.com.
Local 4’s Carmen Harlan, Devin Scillian and Chuck Gaidica host the two-hour The Target Fireworks live special from the site of the exclusive rooftop celebration overlooking the Detroit River.
The night kicks off at 9 p.m. with Local 4’s Super Singer competition, showing off five of the area’s best singing talents in the local tradition that started long before American Idol became a hit. This year’s Super Singer judges include Ty Treadway, soap star and host of the new game show, “Merv Griffins’s Crosswords,” coming to Local 4’s daytime lineup this fall; Yvan Pedneault, star of the Toronto production of “We Will Rock You”; and Ama Daetz, Local 4 News morning co-anchor.
This year’s Super Singer contestants are Corey Roberts, 18, of Troy; Maurice Jacobs, 35, of Detroit; Bianca Tyson, 27, of Ypsilanti; Mariah Wallace, 15, of Metamora and Laura Rodriguez, 22, of Ypsilanti. For the first time this year, home viewers can cast their vote for their favorite contestant by premium SMS text message voting during the live fireworks show.
The grand prize for the Super Singer winner is a trip for two to Las Vegas to attend a Justin Timberlake concert. One lucky viewer at home will also have the chance to win the Las Vegas / Justin Timberlake concert trip by voting for their favorite Super Singer during the Local 4 broadcast.
Plus, in another big finale after the fireworks, the Michigan Lottery will be giving away two-million dollars live on the air during The Target Fireworks broadcast on Local 4. In this Grand Prize Drawing, two-million dollars will be awarded to one of five finalists who were pre-selected from instant ticket players.

I was a participant in the 1993 supersing competition (1st class) and my gripe is why are'nt any record's of the event available? If possible how can i obtain a copy of the event.
Thank you,
Don Hall
