WYCD morning show nominated for CMA award

The Dr. Don Morning Show, heard weekday mornings from 5-10am on country WYCD-FM 99.5, has been nominated for a CMA (Country Music Association) award in the category of On-Air Personalities of the Year (Major Market). The nominations were announced yesterday on ABC TV's “Good Morning America” program.

The awards will be presented at this year's 41st Annual CMA Awards program on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in Nashville and broadcast by ABC. The CMA Awards are considered to be county music’s biggest night.

“This is a huge honor,” said Debbie Kenyon, VP/General Manager of WYCD-FM. “It’s great to see Dr. Don - along with Rachael, Grunwald and Jason get recognized nationally.”

“The whole team on the Dr. Don Morning show has contributed to our success at WYCD,” noted Program Director Tim Roberts. “More importantly, these guys know how to have fun and take the Detroit audience along for the ride!”

My congratulations go out to the folks over at WYCD on the morning crew. Dr.Don and the gang seem to work hard and tirelessly to put on a good, fun, funny, entertaining show each and every morning for us here in Detroit. They all deserve this nomination and deserve a win if they can get one at the CMA's! Way to go Dr. Don and crew, way to go 99.5!

I wonder if Fox's get envious of awards? I wonder if Fox's will ever win any awards with the way Fox's owners run that station? Hmmmm
