Michigan Television celebrates successful pledge drive

Michigan Television, WFUM TV 28 Flint, the public television station from the University of Michigan, wrapped up a very successful pledge drive on Sunday, August 19. The drive, which exceeded the station’s goal by 3%, brought in more than $142,000, with contributions from over 1,100 members across southeastern and mid-Michigan.

This success continues a trend that is reflective of Michigan Television’s growing viewership. The money raised during the 18 day on-air campaign helps pay for programming costs and general operating expenses at the station.

“I’m so pleased that the community continues to support the station in such a significant manner,” said Station Manager Jennifer White. “Community support really makes great public broadcasting possible.”
