While Ken Burns' "The War'' continues on PBS stations, Michigan Television, the public television station from the University of Michigan, is also getting into the act with "WWII: Through the Lens of Duane Zemper,'' airing Saturday at 8 p.m. The documentary focuses on the experiences of Howell resident Zemper, who served as a photo officer for the Army Air Corps. He returned home with a vast collection of pictures chronicling his experiences flying B-17 missions over Europe. Michigan Television (Comcast Channel 24) has also archived the memories of other local World War II veterans as well as other area people who experienced the war on the home front... Michigan Television to air story of Howell WWII pilot (Sun, 9/30)
