Lansing City Pulse:
"The War," Ken Burns' new documentary on World War II, has inspired WKAR to provide a first-rate companion piece featuring the stories of local residents who saw action ... The local version, “The War: Michigan Voices,” is the video answer to “what did you do in the war, daddy and mom?” WKAR producer Mike Mihalus interviewed 65 area residents who served in the Armed Forces during World War II, and he has edited those amazing conversations into two, one- hour TV productions that will be seen on WKAR beginning Sept. 17. A full schedule of the airings is on www.wkar.org... WKAR brings Burns’ ‘War’ home to mid-Michigan (Wed, 9/12)
