Saginaw News:

Morning TV anchor Jocelyn Connell plans to ease into her new role at Channel 5, WNEM, this week. Meteorologist Mike Cameron says he'll do the same -- although he may slip into jeans for Monday's debut of the station's new lifestyle show, "Better MidMichigan." Every day is casual day for the duo as they host the hour-long string of local and national features addressing women's issues. Kim Wells will produce the show, which airs at 9 a.m. weekdays, and develop the mid-Michigan segments. "We're still doing Weekend Wake-Up," Connell said of the early morning show she co-hosts with Erica Donerson and Cameron. "This is something added to the plate, a new venue with more pieces." The focus is less news-oriented, she said, and that's reflected in the casual dress. And "Better" is a concept carried on a growing number of Meredith Corp.-owned stations around the country... New morning show details women's issues (Sun, 9/9)
