5th annual WDVD “Call-to-Care” Radiothon set for Thursday

Last year, the WDVD FM 96.3 annual “Call-to-Care” radiothon raised over $45,000 for breast cancer programs at the Karmano’s Cancer Institute and this year the station has set an aggressive goal of raising $75,000 during the event scheduled for Thursday, October 11 from 5:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m at Gordon Chevrolet, 31850 Ford Road in Garden City.

The fundraiser includes an auction, a list of items can be viewed at 963WDVD.com and include: autographed merchandise from Maroon 5, Goo Goo Dolls lead singer Johnny Reznik, and Ivan "Pudge" Rodriquez, and a Detroit Lions “Jet-Away” package to fly on the team jet to an away game during the 2008-2009 season.

96.3 WDVD morning show hosts Blaine and Lisa with Allyson, mid day host Jake Edwards, and afternoon host Jesse will all be taking part in this year's radiothon.

"One Child Now" provides thousands of children in the area with new coats, backpacks, back-to-school supplies, access to summer camps and many other worthy things.
