• Contemporary Christian WEJC-FM 88.3 White Star/Midland, a Smile FM outlet, has completed its technical upgrades and commenced broadcasting at full power on October 24.
• Family Educational Broadcasting Corp. of Door County Wisconsin is exiting the radio business, selling its two non-commerical radio stations to Nebraska-based Bethesda Christian Broadcasting for $1.7 million pending FCC approval and closing. Along with Christian country WRGX-FM 88.5 and contemporary Christian WPFF-FM 90.5, both licensed to Sturgeon Bay, WI, the deal includes a number of translator stations. In Michigan, these include WPFF rebroadcasters W244AW 96.7 Iron Mountain, W254AG 98.7 Escanaba, W260AG 99.9 Ishpeming, W294AI 106.1 Marquette and WRGX rebroadcaster W286BC 105.1 Marquette. Bethesda Christian Broadcasting operates three FM stations in South Dakota.
